Australia

I tell a girl that he´s our good friend from Australia. I don’t really think about what I say and we head off to the airport. Queen plays a convenient “Oh won´t you take me home tonight” and transcribes what we´re doing into music, through the radio.
All we can manage to say to each other is “always a pleasure” and “Have a safe trip back”. I even try a “see you soon”, to which I´m answered “hell yeah, mate”.
Everything else I could write about this is taken over by being Tired.
Tired of going out and staying up until it´s time for the flight. Tired of thinking I´ll have to get up in less than 6 hours. But most of all, Tired of seeing good people off as they head back a world away.
When that girl asked who Adam was, I also should have said: He will be out of our car and in a plane so quickly we won´t realize how fast our lives are moving.
As his plane takes him back to Sydney, Tired will take me to bed. I can´t manage to write much more, so here is something that represents all else, which Tired has stolen:
Have a safe trip back, mate. We´ll see you in Australia.
